Meet
River
River Rising -also known as River Katz- is a autistic, trans cartoonist, zinester, musician, and writer whose work explores queer themes, mental health, and healing through art and story.
They host creative Workshops in downtown Albuquerque at
Off Center Arts Project.
They have a BFA majoring in Sequential Narrative, and are currently pursuing a Master’s in Publishing.
They worked in independent publishing for three years, and their art has been featured in over twenty books, four comics, and one magazine.
